It appears that there may be an error in the MetaboAnalyst database. During pathway analysis using HMDB identifiers, oxidized glutathione (GSSG; HMDB000337) was reported as a matched metabolite. However, examination of the metabolite details indicates that the system appears to have assigned Cytidine 2′,3′-cyclic monophosphate (HMDB0011691) in place of GSSG. This suggests a potential misannotation or incorrect HMDB mapping that may affect pathway analysis results. We would appreciate it if you could investigate this issue.

Can you clarify your concerns? Note if your input is common names, it could be due to fuzzy mapping, which is controlled by you (i.e. manual correction)

We uploaded a list of HMDB identifiers for Pathway Analysis and used the default settings, with the exception of selecting Mus musculus (house mouse) (KEGG) as the species. In the pathway analysis results, we observed that the glutathione metabolism pathway was identified, with oxidized glutathione (GSSG) listed as a matched metabolite.
However, oxidized glutathione (GSSG) was not included in our original HMDB ID list. Upon further examination, we found that the system appears to have mapped 2,3-cyclic monophosphate (HMDB0011691) to oxidized glutathione (GSSG). We are wondering whether this mapping is expected or if it may represent an annotation error.
