PERMANOVA pairwise statistics

For citation purposes in a manuscript, how should we write up the PERMANOVA in the methods section? Reviewers are asking whether post hoc tests were performed for the pairwise analyses to obtain the adjusted P-values.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For multi-group comparisons, the pairwis p-values were further adjusted using Benjamini-Hochberg procedure procedure (i.e. FDR)
