Opening heatmap high resolution svg files in Adobe Illustrator

I have made a nice heatmap with the meatboanalyst tool, and I wanted to export it to Adobe Illustrator for further editing as an svg. When I just click the “svg” button at the top, it works fine in Illustrator, but if i click the graphics button and set the resolution to 300 dpi and file format svg, the text is converted to “glyphs” in illustrator and it doesn’t display properly. I tried opening the file in photoshop, and there the text is converted to a raster image without problem, so it shouldn’t be a problem with the font. In Inkscape it also rasterises the text, so it also doesn’t recognise it as a text vector. Are there other things I can try to resolve this?
