Joint Pathway Analysis — C. elegans gene mapping returns no hits in MetaboAnalyst 6.0 (all ID types)"

Hi,

I am reporting a bug in the Joint Pathway Analysis module where C. elegans gene mapping returns no hits regardless of the gene ID type used.

Module: Joint Pathway Analysis
Organism: Caenorhabditis elegans (cel)
MetaboAnalyst version: 6.0 (web, accessed July 2026)

Issue:
When uploading a gene list for C. elegans, all genes return no mapping result. The Hit, Symbol, and Name columns all show “-” for every gene in the input list.

What I tried:

  • Official gene symbols (e.g. daf-16, daf-2, sod-3)
  • Entrez IDs (e.g. 172981, 188148, 184580) obtained from org.Ce.eg.db via Bioconductor
  • KEGG gene IDs

None of these ID types produced any gene hits. The metabolite mapping works correctly — only the gene mapping is affected.

Note:
This same bug was previously reported and fixed in May 2025 ( Joint pathway analysis-no gene list ), but it appears to have recurred in the current version of MetaboAnalyst 6.0.

Please let me know if you need any additional information to reproduce the issue.

Thank you,

Thank you for the note. This issue is fixed. Please try again after server update this weekend.
