Found the cause of Pathway analysis failing at parameter settings step "No hits in the selected pathway library!"

Hi,
I’m getting an error in the pathway analysis module on the set parameter step reading “No hits in the selected pathway library!”. I’ve seen this across both the public and pro versions and few a couple of different datasets.

I’ve done some testing and discovers that this error arises when my dataset includes a missing value. For example, the attached files should be identical except that I replaced one of the values for the first metabolite (Pyruvic acid) with an na# in the “…only_one_missing_data.csv” version.

P22_0595_Exp_2_data_for_MA_yellow_chow_1wk_only_one_missing_data.csv (17.9 KB)
P22_0595_Exp_2_data_for_MA_yellow_chow_1wk_only_no_missing_data.csv (17.9 KB)

This is arising because upon upon clicking proceed at the name check step this goes directly to the data normalization page, skipping over the data filter and missing values steps.

I’ve verified that clicking on the data filter option and proceeding through that step, then missing value and then normalization resolves the issue.

Kind regards,

Chris

Thank you for the note. We will fix the issue soon.

In general, this analysis expects targeted metabolomics data (i.e. concentration and no missing values).
