Direction of comparison - Volcano Plot

Hello,

I have trouble understanding the direction of comparision for volcano plots (statistical one factor analysis).

If I submitted two groups of data (say group 1 and group 2). And I used the option direction of comparison group 1/group 2 (there is also an option for group 2/group 1). Is the significant up targets shown in volcano plot the targets that is FC>=2 in Group 2 when compared to group 1 or vice versa?

There web page provides very detailed explanation on FC. I won’t repeat here. You can always click a data point on the volcano plot to find out which interpretations is correct based on box plot
