How to judge the quality of data normalization
One way would be to compare the distribution of the pre- and post-normalized data. This can be done directly in MetaboAnalyst: after you submit your normalization parameters, you will be given the option to view your results before proceeding. If done well, your normalized data should have a Gaussian/normal distribution.
