Urgent help: What is the interpretation of hsa-*mir*-29a-3p?

Hi there I am working on a project and got stuck at miRnet at the last moment,
I had uploaded a list of miRNAs which had ‘R’ notation in their ids, for e.g: hsa-miR-221-3p and hsa-miR-124-3p along with a list of few proteins, the intention was to build a miRNA-protein network.

But when we derive the list after applying suitable degree cut-off filter, we are presented with a list of nodes (both protein and miRNAs) with different degrees. To our confusion we find that the list of 9 query miRNAs have been reported as the top hit miRNAs but with a changed nomenclature/ID, now those were represented with a prefix hsa-mir-… and apart from that, only 3 of our queries were also included later in the list with fewer degrees having same format of ID as given as the input , i.e. with capital ‘R’.

I would really appreciate any elaboration that can clarify my question.
Cheers

Hello,
In this case hsa-mir-17-5p and hsa-miR-17-5p are referring to the same mature miRNA, since the distinction between “miR-” and “mir-” nomenclature is not rigorously enforced on miRNet at the moment. This is in the process of being unified and will be reflected in the upcoming updates.
If you would like to bypass the issue in the meantime, try querying by miR ID as opposed to by accession number.
Hope it help.
